So far Ryan Carter (USA) and Corey Perry (Canada) are the only Ducks to agree to play in the World Hockey Championship which takes place May 7 - May 23 in Cologne and Mannheim, Germany.

It's a shame we are having to talk about this. Let's hope some LA kings join them.....

He already has a Memorial Cup, a World Junior Championship, a Stanley Cup and an Olympic Gold. He needs a World Hockey Championship and a World Cup to match Scott's achievement.

For Christ's sake...Bobby not playing in the WC really is disappointing me BIG TIME. Especially since I own tickets for the opening game vs. the US.

sorry, but where's the difference ?!?

PS: if the ducks let Sbisa go, he'd play in the WC, but I think they won't..

really?

I thought World Championship is every year, organized by the IIHF.

Why is there no Google Result for 'Ice Hockey World Cup' then?
Is this just an american thing or just a very small tournament that I`ve never heard of it?

Not a Duck, but a Duck fan as a manager in Team Estonia won Division II IIHF World Championships. So me. I guess You recognize me from the victory photo? biggrin.gif We (Estonia) beat Israel 17:3, China 15:0, New Zealand 17:0, Iceland 6:1 and Romania 7:1.

Having had a season as busy as his was, plus the injury I think he'd be better off resting wink.gif If he's going at least I haven't heard.
