Do you realize that there may be posters on this board who are either French or Canadian French or of French descent that might find your epithet offensive?

Hmm... Good point. As a note: I am not racist, being racist, or trying to seem that way. I call Montréal "the Frenchies" because everytime I watch a game of theirs, or see something of theirs around, it is in French.
Sorry to anyone I may have accidentally offended.

They mentioned it was the first time in NHL playoffs that a #1 loses a series to a #8 after leading 3-1.

Halak was the clear MVP in this one and if he keeps it up, the Canadiens will be difficult to conquer. Wonder what Pittsburgh will do with them?

On a side note, the Caps sucked anyways. Halak was good, but the Caps sucked just as much. I love them almost as much as the Ducks, and I am one of (if not the) biggest fans of Ovechkin, but they flat out did not deserve to advance after the showing in the last three games.
If you haven't been able to tell, I'm pretty worked up.
Well... Go
If
I had actually said that to my friend during the game.

Right winger Ian Laperriere is likely out for the remainder of the season, GM Paul Holmgren announced Tuesday. According to doctors, Laperriere suffered a contusion of the brain and mild concussion when he was hit with a slap shot above his right eye in Game 5 against the Devils. He needed 60 to 70 stitches to close the cut. Goalie Michael Leighton just resumed practicing after being sidelined since March 16 with an ankle injury. - philadelphiaflyers.com

It's the second time in as many years that a No. 8 seed has ousted a No. 1 seed in the opening round. In the 2009 Western Conference Quarterfinals, No. 8 Anaheim upset the No. 1 Sharks, the Presidents' Trophy winner, in six games.
...
The Sharks are the only team to twice win a playoff series as the No. 8 against a No. 1. San Jose also is the only team to win as a No. 8 and lose a series as No. 1.

ya know this poses a quandry for me. I want to see Boston and Pittsburgh do well. Boston because, unless I'm mistaken, is one of the original six and Pittsburgh because of Danny Bylsma. In the west I'm all for Chicago, another of the original six AND my childhood team. Now, I know that all three can't win the Cup, but, boy o boy, would I enjoy seeing any of those teams winding up in the SCF!
