History Will Be Made

Go ahead and post your thoughts, links, etc here, seeing as that is what I am going to do.
I am beginning, rather continuing, to hate them. I thought in the beginning they were cool, meaningful, and inspiring, with things like "What if Mark never lifted an entire city?" (referring to Messier), and "What if Stevie Y never inspired Hockeytown?" and (my personal favorite) "What if Bourque didn't believe in one more year?" (referring to Ray Bourque). But now NHL seems to be bleeding these commercials every week. The dumb part is that they are doing them for insignificant things, like "What if the Habs didn't believe?" which theoretically could be good, but nothing has really happened yet, and the Habs could still get kicked. And what about "What if Bolland played like he was shorthanded?" which... Well, what? The NHL needs to either stop making these stupid spots, or reserve them for things that actually MADE history.
All in my opinion.

The commercials are great if they have the most important element... MEANING. Unless they have that, they won't be anything. I don't watch the NBA that much, but I'm pretty sure they did that same last year when Lebron hit that 3 pointer to win a game against the Magic. I believe their slogan is "History in the making" or something like that. Did that 3 pointer to win the game help Lebron win the NBA championship? No. Did it help them even win the series? No. It gets old...
I find some of the made up ones (like the one about Teemu's hair) to be hilarious, but those are only on Youtube and not being spread around TV every time I turn around. The NHL needs to wise up.

that's when everyone in their right mind was sure that it's Ducks time.
It's ALWAYS Ducks time ... win or lose. It IS Ducks time!

Now, referring to Montreal, in this case of so called "History Will Be Made" bull crap, I think we need to allow our intelligence and good common sense to say, "It should be ignored until such time Montreal does actually win 1st place in the play-offs."

This one I like to call, "What If Anaheim Didn't Have The Determination In 2003 To Win The Longest Play-Off Game In History?!"

This one I like to call, "What If Anaheim Didn't Have The Determination In 2003 To Sweep The Defending Stanley Cup Champions With One Of The Most Startling Upsets In Play-Off History?!"

This one I like to call, "What If Anaheim Didn't Have The Determination In 2003 To Sweep Another Team For The 2nd Time In Play-Off History To Win The Conference Championship Title?!"

Besides, the commercials that claim "history WILL be made" are comical! How do they know "history WILL be made?" They don't! It's only after the fact that "history HAS been made." The NHL embarrasses itself with these stupid commercials.
