Philly should be careful. They don't know how to play with the lead in a series! Or a Game 7 for that matter!

It doesn't seem like Montreal has an answer for Philadelphia's defense.

Not since Bernie Parent in 1975 against Toronto, had a Philadelphia goaltender registered back to back shutouts. Michael Leighton joins exclusive company. Although, truth be told, he didn't have much to do. The defense in front of him has been impenetrable.

Philadelphia has scored 13 unanswered goals since Boston was leading 3-0 in game 7. Remarkable.

QUOTE
chi.png Patrick Kane down played the talk that he got injured in the second period of Game 1. "I never left the game, to be honest with you," Kane told the Chicago Tribune. "I think I missed one shift in the second and I was fine in the third. Sometimes matchups get a little bit (in the) way of ice time. I was fine, and nothing's wrong." - Chicago Tribune

mon.png Canadiens had nine players on the ice for their optional practice on Monday. Glen Metropolit, Paul Mara, Ben Maxwell, Benoit Pouliot, Mathieu Darche, Jaroslav Spacek, Carey Price, Sergei Kostitsyn and Ryan O'Byrne all skated. - Montreal Gazette

phi.png Ian Laperriere was cleared for contact but he will not play in Game 2 on Tuesday. He is doubtful for Game 3 and likely to return for Game 4 on Saturday. Flyers sources say following further testing on his broken right foot, Jeff Carter has been cleared to skate. Sources say, as long as Carter doesn't suffer any setbacks, he should rejoin Philadelphia 'later' in the Eastern Conference final. Simon Gagne says players were very surprised to see Carter skating this morning. He said they thought they would have to make the final to see his return. But Holmgren still calls it a "stretch" that Carter will appear in this series. Laperriere was cleared for contact, he's not expected to play in game 2...is doubtful for game 3, and likely for Saturday's game 4 in Mtl. - TSN/Team Tweet

sjs.png The Sharks had 20 giveaways in Game 1, while the Blackhawks had only nine in Game 1. - San Jose Mercury News

...the Flyers erased a three-game series deficit against the Boston Bruins with a historic come-from-behind 4-3 win in Game 7, allowing Philadelphia to become just the third team in the history of the NHL to survive a 3-0 deficit.

The win is the Blackhawks' seventh straight on the road, breaking an 18-year-old club mark and tying a Stanley Cup Playoffs record. The 1980 and '82 New York Islanders, the 1995 New Jersey Devils and the 1999 Colorado Avalanche also won seven in a row on the road; all but the Avs also won the Stanley Cup.

Yupper!! Beat Dallas in 5 periods of OT!! Longest game in NHL history, let alone the play-offs. That's like watching almost 3 whole games of regulation hockey!! Although the Ducks didn't win the Stanley Cup that year, I think it was their greatest run in the play-offs ever!! ana-ban.gif goducks1ux5.gif
