TSN's Ice Chips for June 1

Forward Andrew Ladd skated on Monday morning before Game 2, but did not suit up for the game. The team is hoping that Ladd will return sometime during the Stanley Cup finals. - TSN

Chris Pronger and Ben Eager each got a 10 minute misconduct after Game 2 for their heated exchange after Pronger took the game puck for the second straight game. - TSN

I hope the Hawks just lose one, so they can at least win it at home. I'm so sick of seeing teams win it on the road.

I mean, imagine if the Ducks won in Ottawa. I can't really. I don't want to imagine a world without that team picture, where the team looks like it's melting into the crowd behind. And then look at the Wings' and Penguins' team photos. There are a bunch of disappointed Pittsburgh and Detroit fans in both (respectively).

"I won the faceoff and Kimmo (Timonen) passed me in the middle and passed to Briere on the side, and Matt Carle joined the rush," said Giroux, who said he received a text Wednesday afternoon from a childhood friend predicting Giroux would score the game-winner in OT. "(Carle)'s a great player and he can see the ice pretty well. I was trying to get a stick on it and it trickled in."

Giroux's goal gave Philadelphia its first playoff OT win in its past five tries, a string of futility dating all the way back to 1974.
