Scott Niedermayer’s playing days are over, but the former Devils’ defenseman still has some big days to look forward to in his hockey future.

One will come in three years when the four-time Stanley Cup winner is expected to be inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame. Another might come before that at Prudential Center.
