Played a career best 75 games this season in that doghouse, putting up career numbers.
I like Brown but his 7 or 8 minutes a game are very easily replaced.

Mike Brown epitomized energy and effort most every shift he skated for us, with a good flavor of mayhem thrown in. He's not the most skilled of players, but he gives it all he's got. Good luck to him in Toronto.
And on a side note, the de-Browning of the Ducks continues. I'd be looking over my shoulder if I was the current Entertainment Manager for the club.

Agreed. There are plenty of "Mike Browns" to be employed. Best of luck to Mike in TO.

Sounds like Parros will consistently get the minutes instead of the scratches. Too bad he can't skate with the speed of Brown.

well maybe it wasn't about who BM was ready to trade but who Burkie was ready to take?
Brown is SO Burke's type of player.

I'm not.
Brown is a Burke type player...
Carter, not so much.

yeah it was quoted before and got us all puzzled. since Brown is more skilled than Parros why let Parros play and Brown go...

Mike Brown makes $300K less than Parros in the upcoming season. Not to mention Parros has 2 years left on his contract. Brown was much easier to move if someone had to go.

Parros is a marketing / money-making machine for the team... that's his real value.
Which is easily made up in the extra merchandise sales Parros brings.
They could put used Parros jock straps in the team store and they'd sell.

What... don't you think Brown jockstraps would sell?
