Wooooo hoooo oh please! I'd sign him for one yr. and go from there depending on how he does.

Good D-man and cute!

This is not very respectful, but I hope he'll choose to sign with TB... at this point of his career, i don't consider him as a second pairing dman anymore so unless he's signed to a one year deal at a very low salary, I'd prefer to spend this money on signing guys like Sutton, McKee or even Mitchell.

What do you mean by respectful? Rusty was w/us over a decade and he did well for us.

I meant that it wasn't very kind from me to say that about him, but that's what I think about him.

ok got it.

At the right price I'd take him back. I think he could fill in some minutes so the others don't get stress fractures in their feet from skating so much like Both Prongs and Nieds.

Even if it cheap for one year. Where the heck are we going to put him. Hell no on the second pairing. And we already have 3 pairing guys. If eminger goes then I'd take him for a million and anchor the 3rd with him. Otherwise I'll pass

Eminger doesn't impress me, so good idea on letting him go.

x2. Only way is if we get rid of Eminger. I also feel he isn't good for the 2nd pairing.

I really don't like the idea of bringing Rusty back as he'd be taking a spot from one of the young guy's.

I'd rather have Mikkelson. What does Salei bring to the table (and please don't say cute... <__<)

Salei brings his poker chips to the table! jk jk jk

Experience. If O'D were still available I'd say take him for the same reason...but he's w/the Flyers now.

We could offer Mikk a 2 way contract. I've noticed that players who are young do well ina djusting from AHL => NHL when they have a chance of working both teams.

oh yeah and he's hawt too! ots.gif

I'm guessing I'm nostalgic.

I bet we'll get him b/c I don't think Yzerman would sign him.

ps hey we have plenty of penalty magnets! One of them is #15! He gets waaaaaaaay more pims than he should b/c of his temper and mouth.
The SC of 2007 was the most pim'd team!

One thing to keep in mind as we sign players, and wonder about the status of others:

Better to go into training camp with too many options, than not enough!

our youth need to all be given the green light

let them play
develop as a team...
li have faith that our youngun's can do well in the nhl.... nhl ready already in my opinion.... throw them in there forget about signing a load of old players...( no offense to salei cos he was a top lad when he was with us)

we have alot of cap room
i have full confidence that bob murray will be smart in dealing with building this team to be the best

If Ruslan Salei is actually deciding between two teams, and the Ducks are one of them, then how long does it take? Make a list of the pros and cons for each team and pick one! (Oh, and I still hope that he does NOT return to Anaheim unless it's part of a 2003 team reunion).

Rusty doesnt do anything for this team, I hope this rumor has much truth to it as an e2 Eklund rumor.

Rusty was good for us back int he day but seriously, is 2010/2011 going to be the Ducks retirement tour with PK, Rusty, Selanne, etc?

The problem with this is Phil is waiver eligible, so if we send him down or call him up,we will most likely loss him for nothing.
