I'm surprised it didn't happen sooner.
Not that I'm happy about it.
Good luck, Ryan!

Carter should not be a 4th liner.
He should be our 3rd line center.

He should be our 3rd line center.
True, but still an excess of bottom 6 players.

Good luck, Ryan!
I couldn't agree more

So I am assuming that Murray is doing this to free up cap as well as a roster spot. I think he is risking to see if anyone claims him if not he can be sent to Syracuse right?

He should be our 3rd line center.
We have plenty of prospects knocking at the door, so he's expendable. Good luck to Carter though

I agree, this move doesn't impact the Ducks at all.

Best of luck to the guy who brought it every shift.
Good Luck Ryan!

He should be our 3rd line center.
I agree.
But he held first chair in RC's doghouse, which seems to be an important position as well.

No, but it's still a shame. He was easy to like. Always put in the effort, seemed like a real good guy, and I still think he could be a decent enough bottom six forward.

He should be our 3rd line center.
Just thought about this again, Chippy is/ should be our 3rd line center.

Yeah, Carter was our #5 or maybe even #6 center, after Getz, Koivu, Chipchura, Marchant and mabye Bonino. He's about equal in talent IMO as March and Chip, but Chipchura brings the nastiness, and Marchant the leadership. Hope he lands somewhere so he can become the next Drew Miller.

Beleskey-Chipchura-Bodie
Blake-Marchant-Parros
No idea where to stick Blake, assuming, of course, Lupul plays in the top 6.

Beleskey/Marchant/Blake
Bodie/Chip/Parros
no idea, right now things are all sorts of crazy.
Good luck to Carter where ever he may land.

I am disappointed seeing us jettisoning a good faceoff man, faster than average skater that was afraid of no one and proved it, and a hustler.
Especially in those first two departments.
We sorely need to have more speed, and win more faceoffs... especially in our own zone, and on the PK. We give our opponents way too much time in our zone by losing faceoffs. I suspect it's one of the keys to improving our PK %.
