If it were a new team for the NHL, I'd call it "The Goldmine".
Have you seen the expected fee the league will charge for a new team? Something in the neighborhood of $400,000,000.

The Goldmine was the name of our high school girls basketaball teams fan section becasue we had almost the whole school there and they won states
I got one. Its kinda immature lol but "Off in the Jungle" because nobody beats off in the jungle.

How about the Newfoundland Ninjas? *
Now I know what you are going to say, but we don't know there might be loads of ninjas in Newfoundland. They could just be in stealth mode and clearly ninjas like all right thinking people would love hockey so I reckon they deserve a team.

But in all seriousness, it would depend on where the team is located. The Apollos would be a great name for a team in Houston, for example. Or if the Coyotes were to relocate and eventually be replaced, I would call the new team the Arizona Roadrunners.
Also, if the S.F. Bay Area were to get a second team, I would probably call them the San Francisco Golden Eagles.
