Member numbers were brought up in another thread so I got curious as to who all was here in the beginning and realized that August 12, 2003 was the start of this place. Crazy... and I've known most of you for longer than that!

I joined in december, 2003. was googling for some ducks' videos and eventually found them right here. that time MT was uploading every ducks' goal and fight and even hit.

i remember creating a new thread every time i needed an answer to some quesion lol

since then i have been disappearing from the AD for some time. reasons: had troubles with internet, didn't have free time, lost my interest to hockey (for some time)

but now i am so happy to be back

I spent years looking for a good hockey message board, without silly registration rules like having a certain type of E-mail, or having to fill out an application for a moderator to judge. And then I found this place, and not only is it a place to discuss hockey, but my favorite team most of all. And everyone is intelligent and usually insightful.

I've only been here a couple years, but it feels like I've been here forever. Hopefully we'll soon be celebrating the 7th anniversary on top of the signing of Bobby and Teemu.

I ended up here much later, after the Samueli's took over. When I got sick of the official board deleting the leaks of the New Logo and Jersey and searched for an alternative.

Hey I'm messaging from London!!! I was on previous messageboards with MT and Reb and followed them to this wonderful place and if I'm not incorrect I'm one of the original members (top 15??) Great place to hang out for sure.

It's hard to believe it's been almost seven years already. I was a refugee from the official board who wandered off for a short stay at another Ducks board before I located Marshy at Mighty Pond who then recommended coming over here.

I believe I registered the domain name on August 3rd 2003. And yes that selection process was crazy. Still cannot believe that 'DuckSlut.com' and 'DuckNipple.com' were already taken. Not that those were even possibilities, but they just came up on the list of suggested domain names with 'Duck' in them. If i remember correctly the finalists were 'DucksOnly.com' and 'AllDucks.com'. I also thought 'GetYourDuckOn.com' had a nice ring to it but it wasn't really practical. But I am pretty happy with the choice.

Well that is not really true. I grew up and lived in the Fountain Valley/Huntington Beach area until I moved to Colorado in 2004. So techincially I started the webiste while still in OC . But as anaheim15 said the Ducks do have a very widespread fanbase.
