As crazy as it may sound, Logan MacMillan wants to thank the Anaheim Ducks for telling him to pack his bags and go home.
...
Anaheim did me a favour," MacMillan said Monday on the opening day of prospect development camp at the Pengrowth Saddledome. "I got a lot of things sorted out and taken care of. I'm back on the right track.
...
"I'm just living a good lifestyle," he said. "Eating healthy, taking care of myself and that kind of thing."
Back in 2007, the Ducks drafted MacMillan in the first round (19th overall). From there, the son of former Flames scoring sensation (and current Flames scout) Bobby MacMillan struggled mightily to live up to his first-round billing.
...
"In fairness to Logan, he's probably a kid who was drafted higher than he should have been," said Ron Sutter, player development coach for the Flames. "Expectations. Unneeded pressure both internally and from the outside.

Sounds like he's ready to give it another go.
And it's probably good for him that he's with a new team, and new situation. It's hard to 're-make' yourself when you're surrounded by the same situation you were in when you got in trouble!
Hope it goes well for him.
