Corey Hirsch played over 100 games in the NHL before moving to Europe. When Martin Gerber joined the Langnau Tigers, Hirsch basically lost his job.
The other side of the story

Like as if the owners OR players give a rat's ass about the fans. Life for most is about getting what you want, when you want it. If you destroy or hurt someone in the meanwhile....though!!!
It's NOT just hockey, it's life in general. Most people don't care one iota about others, that is what makes some of the people on this site so special. They can actually put the needs of others ahead of their own.

You’re right Veca. What about the former NHLPA brothers like Corey? Brotherhood only lasts as long as you pay your dues I guess. I think the NHLPA should kick them some cash for being displaced of their rosters to accommodate the conditioning of NHL'ers during this difficult time.

While I know the guys need money, especially the non 7-10 million dallar players, I think going to work so fast just defeats the purpose of why the players say they won't agree to a salary cap. They say they will never be hampered by a cap, yet they prove themselves wrong by playing for teams that can never pay them all that big $$$$$. If the NHL went out of business, now let's see what they do. I feel sorry for the "average" guys. Most of them secretly probably care about a cap, as they "ain't" gonna get 7-10 mil a year EVER.
