Homesickness, when you're 2,800 miles from friends and family, isn't hard to understand.

Plus, Murray always has loved to coach and he grew to miss life behind the bench.

As a GM, Murray's Mighty Ducks did get to the Stanley Cup Finals in 2003 under coach Mike Babcock, losing in seven hard-fought games to the New Jersey Devils. Murray is 513-413-131-14 in his NHL coaching career.

He's not coming back Old One ... you'll just have to adapt.

Coates was walking around after the baby Ducks game at the Pond talking with fans waiting for autographs from the players. He appeared to be willing to listen and talk with anyone who stopped him.

Coates has always been easily accessable, which is always nice. Bryan Murray is also like that, and if he has the time, he could talk your ear off. Great guy, and I hope the Sens succeed. But I did wish he stayed with the Ducks.

It seemed especially generous of Coates to be walking around the concourse that late after the game, which included OT and shoot-out, on Thanksgiving eve to talk with fans. He could've easily ducked out a back door or not even come to the game, and we wouldn't have blinked an eye.

eyebrow.gif Coates ain't dumb you know kiddo. Murray didn't hang with no fools.
Coates knows the wrath of the fans and he understands that kid gloves are necessary to keep what few fans are left!!!
