Ray's on an active roster and is a PA member...It would be interesting to know what reason the Union gave for denying him a stipend?

I hope Rob Ray wins! It is amazing to me how the NHL and the NHLPA have managed to silence their respective members concerning the current lockout, and I imagine there is more dissent in both camps than either would like to admit. Who wins in this? If your share of zero is 100%, your share is still zero!!! All parties are loosing, and in the end Bettman dealt the deathblow to the NHL.

Aaahh...that could be it Veca...not enough games played last year. I didn't think of that.
I wonder if the PA also has a rule that if you find work elsewhere during the stoppage, you don't get paid either?

My dear mother, Veca, got it wrong.
I'm surprised that he thinks he should get anything because of those stats. Under normal circumstances I don't think those stats wouldn't quilify him for much of anything. Heck, if Ottawa had won the Cup, he wouldn't have gotten him name on it (the Cup that is)!

All's well that ends well. Congrats to Ray for winning his lawsuit ...

Ray's lawyer, David Elibol, said Thursday the settlement was reached a few weeks ago. Elibol added that his client recently received a cheque covering most of the money he claimed he was owed from the union's lockout compensation fund.
