So I guess the rumors floating around the last couple of days were true. Hopefully they get a deal done.

After Goodenow gambled and lost, maybe the players feel they need to take things into their own hands and salvage some of their contract terms before it's too late. If there was any miniscule chance of the NHL backing down on a cap and a linkage, it's gone now after Goodenow made his "final" proposal a couple of days ago.

I just heard on the radio that the deal is done. He said reports coming out of Toronto are that the deal is done and they are just going to NY to sign it. Agents have been telling players in Europe to come back Sunday.

Here on TV, everyone seems to say that it's a done deal. Heard that some of the owners were a little steamed that Buttman said $42.5, take it or leave it. No negotiations!! I guess they were ready to agree to the $45 mill.....

Players are upset that Goodenow was keeping the reps out of the loop. Ah, happiness abounds!!!

It is more than irritating to hear that at deal was in place from all of these rumors and then for nothing to get done is just plain stupid...and as most of us will say after this...what was the damn point if they weren't going to budge on anything...I am done hoping for a season...I am hoping for a full 2005-2006 season..get the CBA done!!!
