At 242, a bar down the street, no amount of effort could keep the business going. The owners have taped a note on the entrance: "242 will be closed, indefinitely, due to 'cost uncertainty' and high player salaries."

sad.gif The stories will keep coming in the longer this mess continues. It isn't just about the owners and players, it's about a whole lot of other people too.

If just for one second they would think abut the innocents who are getting dragged down by all this posturing, maybe they could get something done! mad.gif

Yeah, and NO hockey charities in any of the 30 cities. Thanks a lot less $$$$$ the children's cahrities will be getting this year.
I'm sorry, but I can't but help blame the players on this. Accept a little less $$$$$. What's the big deal? Is it better to get zero of an already signed 2 or 5 mil contract for this season, then maybe next year too?

Can you just imagine what some of the players who broke rank early, and were made to issue retractions after being taken to the NHLPA backroom are feeling now? They probably will push to the front of the line to string Goodenow up.!
