"Agent Pat Morris said 11 of his players contacted him about finding them a team in Europe for next season."

Agents can yap better than Laperriere sometimes!

For decades the one thing common to the game of hockey was the need for the boys to have their name engraved on the Stanley Cup. I don't see that changing. Will the Cup be awarded in Finland? Or Abu Dhabi? Will the WHA ever get their hands on it? It's all frozen in mid-air right now. Until this thing is settled and we know where the next Stanley Cup Playoff will be held, we should not worry.

IMO, whereever the Cup goes, so goes hockey.

Realistically, these guys probably haven't lived on the macaroni & cheese budget levels in years. Even the entry level guys. No NHL, no salaries. Europe is an option - keeps you in shape, gives you some money, helps pass the time. Better than doing nothing, which is what they'll still be doing next year.
