Well, I am sure it won't happen. But what a fun story to read this morning. I'm sure a business man could run the NHL better than it has been as a whole lately........

So one company owns all of the teams. Okay, so if they decide they want the Kings to finally get into the playoffs, it can be arranged. If they want Crosby to be better than the Great One, it can be arranged. They would be able to pull our little strings all 60 minutes of every game and they would pick who wins the Cup.

This is such a bad idea, its' silly!!

So, all we need is for Dr. Samueli to head up the company wink.gif ana-ban.gif

THE BID. So, you guys are right. He IS deliberatley F**king up the NHL!!!! Maybe someone ought to, well, I guess I can put it in print. But it's close to what Chelios has said in the past. hehehehee

Nah..I think it was just professional courtesy to some people with the big bucks. Buttman knew the owners wouldn't bite...maybe he's hoping these people will settle for just buying a team in the long run. hmm.gif

And, it give the Betterman the chance to say, "See, we're not worth much because we're not making any money."

And then, under one owner, they can start staging things, and set up rivalries, and make things more dramatic, then give flashier uniforms, and turn it into the WWF! Yeah, that's the ticket (heavy sarcasm)

dry.gif Well, Bettman still maintains the teams are worth more than what buyers think. That is why he said if Disney tries to sell the Ducks for less than what the NHL thinks they are worth, the NHL will buy the team.
Can we say double talk?? Talking out of both sides of his mouth???
