I play in an adult hockey league and tonight is our first ever playoff game! It's single elimination so it's either win or go home. (Actually, I'll go home either way.) Wish us luck, and you heard it hear first...I'm going to score the game-winner!

Lost 7-0 in a VERY disappointing game. We should not get blown out by that team, ever, but we picked the wrong night to lay an egg. Too bad it's single elimination, but them's the breaks.

I almost scored a goal and it would have been a pool shot. I was on my side with my head next to the crease. The puck was laying still just in front of my face so I tried to poke it into the net with my stick. It was on its way in when the goalie rolled over and sat on it just before it crossed the line. That was such a frustrating play.

It was a great season, I was fourth on the team with 10 points scored (six goals and four assists) and was one of only two players on my team to go the entire season without a penalty. Hell, even our goalie had a penalty! Lady Byng, anyone?

Aww I'm sorry you didn't win SC hug.gif But you did well to get to that position and I'm sure that since you've had a taste of a play-off game you'll be back for more next year. smile.gif

Well done on a fantastic season, ana-ban.gif

No problem mate smile.gif I'd be very happy with myself if I was in your shoes. I would love to play hockey but alas a dodgy back means I'm not even allowed to learn to skate, which is a bit of a bummer noexpression.gif

But anyhoo...good luck for next season. biggrin.gif

Dang. that's brutal SC. Sorry that your team doesn't get a chance to redeem itself. Well, congrats on an outstanding season! Hopefully you'll be able to field the same guys next season and use this playoff experience to your advantage!

But in a defeated situation, ice has such an extirpative connotation associated with it ...

Might as well hand the Lady Byng out to you. No one else is going to have it this season! Sorry you lost, but you gained a lot in experience.
