Owners have been asked to crunch the numbers on 4 scenarios for the upcoming season:

QUOTE
According to TSN analyst Bob McKenzie, these are the other four:

• Play an 82-game season banning any NHL Players' Association members and using only replacement players. The league would set terms and conditions.

• Play a 60-game season under the same conditions.

• Play an 82-game season by declaring legal impasse, implementing a new bargaining agreement and using a combination of replacement players and NHLPA members willing to cross a line and play in these circumstances.

• Play a 60-game season under the same conditions

I am one of the few to ask for my deposit back? I think the owners are lying. Anyone on this board leave their $$ in?

I told my rep I would not be a season ticket holder unless Jiggy was in net and Rucchin was captain. I don't care how they get it done, but I'm not spending Pond prices for wannabe Ducks. smile.gif

I've already passed along my preference for using replacement players. We'll be watching players who actually want to play and seeing them at a reduced price. Sounds good to me!

Sounds terrific if they actually reduce the prices.

bye2.gif I'm not traveling the distance to see players I don't know. If they get the games on TV and I get to know some of the kids, I'll see then, but for now....NO WAY!!! dry.gif

Am I fair in saying that if they go to replacements won't they just pretty much bring up AHL teams or a mix of AHL, OHL, CHL, ECHL, and WHL??? hmm.gif I mean the players and for example the Ducks would have Ryan Getzlaf and Corey Perry as well as some of the Cincy players..or am I totally off on this...first off if they are using these players then yes the prices of tickets should be lowered but on the other hand I would be thrilled to watch these young but very athletic and eager players to show what they have....Getzlaf and Perry have me salivating at what the future will bring for the Ducks. ana-ban.gif

From what I've read there won't be any AHL players. I'll have to try to find the story that talked about it.

crazy.gif I think it's because the AHL is part of the NHL, union and all, so if they use replacement players, all the AHL'rs are out!! I'm not sure who would be used....it gets complicated!

butbut.gif Madame Veca admits that she does favor certain players more than others, and even to the exclusion of any others!

It is exciting to see what the Ducks have coming up in the AHL. However, most of the current NHL Ducks still have more than enough promise and fight in them for another few years. The old saying, a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush, pretty much applies here for me. Also, Murphy's Law keeps me from getting too excited about boys who are untested in the NHL. smile.gif

Quacks.. I left my $$$$ at the Pond. But not sure I will go with replacement players, but I can never make up my mind, so I'll wait and see. I don't want to be mad about something that may never happen. Can't afford any more holes in my tummy. 3 was plenty.
