Nope, it's now officially cancelled. Crosby will have to be picked via conference call at this point. Read on...

Not so much cancelled as postponed. It will happen, just not June 25-26 in Ottawa. At least, that's what I gathered from reading the various links.

According to the TSN link, it is cancelled as an event. It will happen, eventually, but by conference call or something as non-public as that...

Looks like they will do it electronically over the phone. No name calling. No jersey and cap putting on. No proud mom and pop snapping pictures and crying about junior. Whoopdee freaking whoo. Poor Sidney.

Yeah well, WHEN will the players union learn.....The owners have waaaaay more $$$$ and WILL win this war. Think about it..If the concussed nitwits would have offered $45 mil that "Saturday" after the season was cancelled, the owners probably might have taken the offer. Since they were offering 42.5 mil. Now the owners are back on 37.5 mil. The players are dumb if they don't think eventually they will be an impasse, and then it is totally up to the owners. So sad for these new young kids' futures being dictated by $10 mil a year greedy players. Crosby is just a bright light this sport could use.
