Me and a friend were thinking the other day about new ways to get more gaols in the NHL. One of them was to give teams points for each goal they score. For example, Ducks 5 vs. Kings 2. We would get five points and LA would get two. Then we thought the teams would then only forwards as there was no penaltiy for letting goals indo the next idea was born. You get point equal to the number of goals you beat the other team by. So in the same expamle you would have us getting three points from the game (5-2=3). This could lead to going out to add on that next goal in the last few minutes of a game instead of playing a shutdown line.

Not sure if it's been said before, but I was wondering what you think about it.
