I hate the no touch icing and the larger nets. The others I owouldn't mind along with the touch-up offside.

dry.gif Just the media's continuing campaign to use Jiggy as their Michelin Man poster boy. No wonder a lot of NHL fans buy into the sterotype. BTW, is J.S. going to be one of the 11 goalies attending the meeting or is he still in Germany?

They took it down and have now replaced it with a pic of Sather and Barnett:

Funny, no one seemed to bitch about Jiggy's overpadding during the 2003-2004 season when he wasn't exactly stellar. Somehow padding increases exponentially with skill because it cannot possibly be attributed to anything else!

Eliminate the red line, or the 2-line pass penalty. I like the no-touch icing though...it would prevent some unnessary injuries, and I haven't really noticed it slowing down the game too much. They seem to wave off icing more often in the WHL though.

Sorry Veca, you KNOW I love Jiggy and HATE Marty, but Marty has some of the smallest pads in the league.

Yes...and a lot of D-men agree with that. Who cares, most of the time the team who iced the puck does not get to the puck anyway.

I thought I would like the no-touch icing. But after going to see 3 games in which they used it, I really hate it.

MT, any reason why. Is it boring? I'm thinking maybe no racing up the ice culd be. Let me know, I respect your opinions.

I know that there are probably just as many icing calls in a game with touch up icing as there is in a game with no touch icing. But no touch icing seem to slow the game down. I didn’t mind no touch icing when I watched games on TV. In person it just felt different. No dman flying down the ice to touch up. No races for the puck. As soon as the puck goes past the red line toward the other end of the rink everything just seems to stop.
