Glen Macnow and Howard Eskin on 610 WIP are stating that Roenick is on his way to Los Angeles. The reason the deal has not been announced is because the player coming back to Philly cannot be reached (? sounds fishy). Expect an announcement very soon. Roenick is in good spirits because this places him closer to home in phoenix.

...
Roenick, who has 475 goals in his 16-year career, was resigned to being the odd man out with the Flyers, telling a Philadelphia radio station, "The Flyers have a better chance of winning the Stanley Cup with Peter Forsberg than with Jeremy Roenick."

So is JR going to tell those Staples lemmings to not to come and watch??

As for us, well, we'll see! We have the talent to be competitive, but we all want more, we want to be strong and dominate! There are many questions over the team right now, but even as it stands, we will hold our own.

This is a good move for those of us that like watching the Queens lose. $5 million for Roenick? They could've gotten Forsberg for just a few hundred thousand more!
I wonder how Roenick will like having glitter on his sweater...

I agree, if getting Roenick means that we dont sign anybody else to help the 1st line then Im dissapointed. Granted we got him and a pick for nothing but if we lose Palffy then Im bummed.
It will be exciting watching a team with Roenick and Avery but I want to win and Im not sure this gets us to where we need to be. SIGN ZIGGY and FROLOV and I will be happy!!!!
BTW, does anyone think you guys overpaid for your new boy? 4 years for 28 million, right? Thats big bucks in the old NHL not to mention this one.

It's still not the max you can get, and is in fact about a million less than that. In that regard, it's not a bad deal!
As for the Queens, I do think they will sign Frolov, but not Palffy. I can't imagine they have the money to sign Demitra, Roenick AND Palffy. But, we will see.
