''John is a big strong winger who is a proven and consistently productive goal-scorer,'' general manager Craig Patrick said. ''His presence further strengthens the group of forwards we’re assembling here in Pittsburgh.''

He's old and past it. Third line I think for him. Malone, Mario, Recci and Palffy on the top line wings.

He's got no other option. He signs there or no where, unless there is an other sheet...

Well, he'll be good in the media guide and the locker room, but I don't know that he'll be that good for them on the ice. He had back surgery in May and is 36. If he's 100%, he's good for 20-30 goals and 50-60 points. If not, then he's just another veteran to help teach Sidney Crosby how to play the game the right way.

blink.gif Try and spell that name without looking it up....

If the Penguins do well this season, the press will have to learn that last name by heart.. biggrin.gif

Pittsburgh is now a mix of very young and very old players, just like Detroit in 2002! But I would be surprised if they got far than 2nd round! hmm.gif
