NHL sources have told TSN it's a four-year deal at $6.8 million US a year.

Sounds about right. Sportsnet.ca has it as a 4-year deal worth $27.5 million (US). <link>

As of today, past success is the Lightning's sparring partner.

As of today, old achievement is more an enemy than a friend.

"Our team had a great season last year," Tortorella said. "But to be considered a great organization, you have to do it again and again. That's the difficult thing. To be considered a great organization, we still have some steps to go."

Sounds almost familiar, eh??

yes.gif ana-ban.gif yes.gif Something we all know about. Let's see how well they do with their changes in the line up and the "Cup hangover".

He deserves it. He is a great young playmaker and he can score important goals, I would be happy if the Ducks have a guy like him on the roster. And I forgot since the stanley cup playoff run we know he can check and he goes in the corners.

Still....I dont think he deserves to be making more than guys like Peter Forsberg,Scott Niedermayer,Joe Sakic,Chris Pronger and Markus Naslund.
