TBA at 5p E according to TSN.

This was one of Eklund's rumors, maybe he's right about Rucchin too.

Two of teh best snipers in the League on the same team! Nice for Atlanta. Don't make much sense to me though. Both very good RW. Wonder who teh D. man is?

Don't give Eklund too much credit...he gets most of his rumors from message boards and his track record really isn't that great.

Heatley will be the bigger star in a couple of years. He needs to drop his baggage about the accident a few years ago. I mean look at his all star performance that year!

That's what is being siad now. Heatley needed to be traded for his own health. I hope he becomes the star he was meant to be in Ottawa.

I'll add my "wow!" to this thread too. Ottawa was trying to free up cap space but I didn't see them trading Marian Hossa. Hopefully for them, Heatley's mind and knee have recovered. It's a good move for Atlanta too because they get a great player in Hossa and a good defenseman in Greg DeVries, especially since defense hasn't been one of Atlanta's strengths. Then again, I thought they were going to build their franchise around Kovalchuk and Heatley.

Wow again.

And his eye. Heatley got hit in the face while plaing during the lockout.

Changes needed to be moved so Heatley wanted to move somewhere he could flourish and be happy with the team. I'm sure he wont forget the incidents that happened to him 2 years ago.

It must be horrid. Every time you go to the arena you get a guilty feeling. Each time you're out for a Drive or just going to the shops you get memories of what happen come flooding back. I'd hate to live like that sad.gif

thanks kimi so ottawa got a lil younger and atlanta gets a proven star and a 1st line D-man sounds like a good trade both both points of view

It looks to be a very fair deal right now. If both player live up to what they are meant to be, then I believe that no one has won the deal. A very fair Blockbuster trade indeed.
