Hi RD,

I never thought I'd do it about a player, but I actually cried when I found out he was traded. I thought (wrongly!) that he'd be "untouchable". which I guess no one is.

He was a great captain, and I LOVED his overtime game-winner in game 4 against the Red Wings.

I guess I'll get over it, but if Burke trades either Carney or Jiggy, I'm gonna get a refund on my season tickets. Ok, that may seem a little extreme, but DAMN! Two franchise players in one day!

I had a hard time choosing...yes I am very bummed by this trade and I totally felt we could have and should gotten more for Steve Rucchin..it will be difficult not seeing Steve on the ice in a Ducks uniform....I hope he has a monster year for the Rangers!!! ana-ban.gif ana-ban.gif ana-ban.gif bye2.gif

I went with option 2. The changes to the CBA and all that jazz meant that there was always going to be major changes to the teams in the league. I don't like some of the trades/signings but they have to happen to dump salary, that's life.

Burke was always going to upset someone when he got rid of some of the players, He couldn't please everyone.

He's in charge and we just have to go with the flow.

Yea I was sad when it was annouced he was traded. Hes been part of the Ducks for soooo long now. Its sad to see him go. The only good news is that with the Ducks record for having former players return back to the Ducks, im pretty sure Rucchin will be back one day smile.gif

Or next year's trade-deadline! wink.gif rolleyes.gif

I was saddened when he left. sad.gif Great leader, great guy. I was amazed how Rucchin played back in the CF, even though I was a Red Wing Fan, it trully inspired me that this guy gave 100% effort every shift. I hope he becomes the next captain in a Rangers sweater!

The best of luck to you Rooch! You will be missed, but not forgotten! ana-ban.gif
