In couple of interviews in Russian press with Ilya Kovalchuk Ilya seems honestly suprised Dany asked for trade. And he said Dany was very sad and kind of dissapointed...

There were several rumours all summer long and now (they were shot down) and now they spaek of August 9th as a date he did that... 
Kovalchuk seemed very much not believing that...

I think as Heatley said he wanted a change of environment in the statement. Maybe Atlanta always gives him memories of Synder. Tragic the whole thing.

I hope he does fine in Ottawa. I believe Atlanta won this trade. Hossa is gooooooooooooooooooood...

Anywho, the Trashers won't be exactly less lethal with Kovalchuk and Hossa thereby on the rink...
But in my opinions, the Sens won this trade...
