Since we are not in the playoffs, the next best thing would be seeing the Avs knocked out by the Sharks. Teemu's looking forward to it, and I KNOW Sharks fans are looking forward to it. Kariya is out, and hopefully the rest of the team will be out after this series. I'm not a Sharks fan on any level, but I can honestly say, "GO SHARKS!!!"

iam frothing at the mouth, wanting the avs out of playoffs, and i think the sharks can/will do it. never was a sharks fan--hated them; like ron wilson said, they were the arch-enemy, the nemesis. but im still thinking the sharks will go all the way. regardless, im sure selanne will be greeted with open arms in san jose (cough cough), and kariya still has menstrual cramps, so she will be out. i was wondering-what would be more of a kick to the head of kariya: being eliminated in the first round [too late now], or losing in a game 7 of the finals?

The good news is that one of these teams will definitely be eliminated this round; the bad news is that one will move on. I'll certainly be cheering for Detroit or Calgary next round....

Well, I'll be in SJ tomorrow for the game!!! Yeah, and it just freaking figures I got stuck with the Avs. I ahve to say, that is so strange for me to say. I guess all these years, I loved the Avs only because of Patrick Roy. I know view the Avs as a whiney snivelly, blame everyone but us kind of team now. Oh well..... At least I can REALLY cheer for the Sharks. I too am not a major Shark fan, but I do like some of the players, and my best friend loves the Sharks, so I root for them for her! I hope they all still boo Teemu there, as I could use some booing to make me feel better!!!

Great building to see a game. Let me tell you, they loooove Teemu! (Not) San Jose is still pissed off that he missed a shot into a virtually open net a couple of years ago. They hold a very nice grudge. As the guy next to me said, Eddie Belfour is even more hated in that building.

Go Sharks! I'm rooting for them to go to the finals.

Boughner went after Cheechoo Bertuzzi style. However, since Cheechoo happened not to get hurt and go down like a sack of potatoes, he won't face much punishment, if any, which is a joke. What a cheap move, with the game out of hand and less than 5 seconds left. The sad part is Ricci will probably face some kind of sanction for being the third man, even though he was just trying to protect his teammate that got assaulted.

Sharkies won! Sharkies won! Yeah go Sharks!!

Boughner needs to be suspended for that punch to Cheechoo, no doubt about it. But knowing the NHL he probably won't be. mad.gif

The refereeing to that game was a %@$#$ joke!!! McGoo should be banned from the league. Forsberg got away with all kinds of penalties (I believe they called only one of the three he commited on the same play), and the Crapalanche played dirty and behaved like the f*cking prima-donas they are. Next time why don't they sit on the ice and cry!

Abitcher should be suspended for attempting to injure the Sharks' player after one of the goals with a slash to his legs as he lay on his stomach. They make it so easy to hate them.

I like this from the recap: "Colorado lowered itself to third-period goonery, starting several fights in the final two minutes..."

And as far as Salami goes, Svatos had more ice time than the Sister. Now go cry to your boyfriend back in Colorado.

Boughner certainly learned a lot from the game where Moore got hurt. How to sucker punch from behind 101. You would think they would have learned a different lesson.

I don't think Colorado is going down in four, but I do think the Sharks will prevail in this series. And Forsberg - we don't like your stinkin' Avs. Get over it.

The Sharks totally outplayed the Avs with their speed and forechecking. That is something considering how fast the Avs are, or how fast I thought there were.

It was disgusting how the refs let this game get out of control at the end. I used to love to watch the Avs with their skill and speed and superior goaltending, but when did they become a bunch of dirty thugs? That's what SJ used to be with Marchment, Nolan, Suter and Granto. Oh, that's the connection. Maybe the teams are a reflection of their coaches. It's funny how the tables have turned.

The Avs were embarrassed by the Sharks and so they resorted to thugery and dirty hockey. Aebischer and Boughner deserve suspensions. If that slash to Dimitrakos' ankle by Abby and Boughner sucker punch to Cheechoo don't get some consideration, then we all know whose bed the NHL league office is sleeping in.

I agree about the calls, especially the first utterly ridiculous call of "goal interference" on the Sharks. The guy was shoved towards Abby by another Avacrap player!!! Rant rant rant.... But I was actually yelling at my tv screen last night with the comments ESPN talking heads were delivery the whole night. I think they all have lots of $$ on the Avs winning!! Nabakov is a great goaltender, yet all of Abby's saves (hehehehe) were outstanding and Nabbies were because he had defense in front of him. Please! And they were literally drooling over Floppa!! rant rant rant.....

I want the Avs gone in 4.

That's why I'd rather watch the Sharks broadcast (or any of the local FOX stations). I know they're biased, hell I expect them to be, but at least I don't have to listen to the ESPN BS, especially Mullet Barry. What a dump he is!

Definitely. Aebischer has such a bad temper, attacking players for no reason, and making numerous cheapshots.

Come on Sharks, sweep the Avalanche!

Yes Mrsbevo, I remember that missed goal. heheheheeh...Too bad the Avs don't have Patty NOW! He paid his goalpaosts $50 each to stop that Selanne puck. hehehehehehehehe

Funny to now be rooting against the Avs, so strange. But I did, I really really did. Poor Sauer, standing alone near the bench during practice. So....why did they Avs want him? Oh, it was just so they could TRADE SKOULA. hahahahahahahah.whatever!

YES YES YES!!! This is what I have been saying all year. I like Tony Granato as a player, but as a coach, he has got to go. I know lots of peoepl hated the Avs casue they are great, but they NEVER played so nasty, outta control, thugs, liars, whiners. Okay, they Clod Lemieux, he didn't help. And a fab goalie who on occassion broke vcrs, doors, etc. But, they used their skill to score, not A...whine to the press and B...beat the tar outta people. I have never seen Foppa on a regualr basis do what he did in game one. I think he may be on drugs. heheheheheeh
