Forsberg, who signed as a free agent last month, will have surgery Monday to remove an infected bursa in his right ankle. The Flyers said Forsberg is expected to miss at least two weeks.

Wow the injury bug has hit the Flyers. Will Forsberg;s peformance on the ice be affected if he hasn't gone to training camp?

I don't think it will be that bad. He's still better than everyone else so he'll be fine.

Hell, he can miss a whole season, and score the most points in the playoffs, NOT being in the Cup Finals......

He did that in 2001-2002 season. Was injured all season long, came back and was the leading scorer in the playoffs.

The Flyers better pray that they won't set a team record for man games lost due to injuries this season.

Monday marked the beginning of the third week of Flyers training camp, but for two players, it was simply the beginning. When the Flyers convened on the Skate Zone ice, they were joined by Peter Forsberg and Derian Hatcher, both of whom were making their first appearances with the team after signing free-agent contracts in July.
