Crosby is being perfectly set up to fail. Anything short of the Calder and 100 points plus playoffs will be seen as a failure. Too much pressure for such a young man.

Yeah, they need to lay off and give him some space. But somehow I can't see that happening. sad.gif I'm really looking forward to seeing him play this season but the PR people and the press are building him up too much. even if he gets a 90 points and they make the playoffs and he gets the calder BUT they dont win the cup hes a failure in pittsburg

It's not top ten players in the NHL...it's just top ten to keep an eye on and see how they do.

Yeah but Garon and and Nilsson aren't the players you should look for!!
Therer are other payers or goalies!!
What about our Perry or Getzlaf???
Or maybe even Jiggs because it will be interesting to see how he will do this season!!!

Crosby seems able to handle the pressure. He has been in the spotlight for ages and has handled it up to now. He's not in Toronto, so that should make some aspects easier. I don't think he's going to be breaking all the records this year, but I do think he will be able to make significant contribution.
