The Avalanche are not saying much, but media reports in Denver are suggesting that Colorado defenceman Rob Blake won't be able to play in Game 4 of the Western Conference Semifinal against the San Jose Sharks Wednesday, and might even be done for the series.
The Denver Post and The Rocky Mountain News reported Tuesday that the Avalanche would only confirm that Blake had an "upper body injury" and that X-Rays had been taken.
Maybe he should have had second thoughts about trying to lay that hit on Cheechoo.

Serves him and Kariya right, but that's just flogging a dead horse. We know it, they know it.

"Upper body injury"? HA! It looked like a knee injury to me.

And I think Selanne may be cursed. He declined (reportedly BM made offers) to sign with the Ducks last year and stayed with the Sharks. Who goes to the SC finals? This year he spurns the Sharks offer to stay in SJ and goes to the Avs w/PK. It's kind of like a Greek tragedy.

Well, good thing he declined BM's offers or else the Ducks might not have made it to the SC Finals.

Nope, the Avs have never lost in less than 6 games in a series according to TSN:
"STREAKS: Dating to the regular season, San Jose is 4-1-1 in its last five games against Colorado. ... The Avalanche have never lost a playoff series in fewer than six games."
