I'll start a topic where we can list and follow injuries to all but Duck players. Here's the latest:

Updated list of injuries per team.

CBJ: Brule out 6 weeks with bruised sternum.

MIN: Gaborik's return on hold for at least 10 more days.

Here's your answer (there's a really good reason no one remembers):

Hatcher received a three-game suspension during the 2003-04 playoffs when, playing for the Detroit Red Wings, he elbowed Calgary forward Matthew Lombardi in the head.

Islanders goalie Rick DiPietro left the game 11:09 into the second period after sustaining a mild concussion in a headlong dive to stop a drive down the slot by Jeff Halpern. DiPietro is listed as day-to-day.

Yes, that's exactly what it is. Most of the players that have groin injuries right now did not play at all last year. And, a lot of them older players. Not a coincedence.

Already without Sami Kapanen, the Flyers received more bad news Monday when it was learned they will be without right wing Turner Stevenson for eight to 12 weeks due to upcoming surgery on his right hip.

Wow! Something other than a groin injury!

The Atlanta Thrashers placed right winger J.P. Vigier on the injured list Wednesday with a broken bone in a foot.

Vigier broke the bone in a game Friday against the Toronto Maple Leafs but still played the following night against the New York Rangers.

Vigier's stint on the injured list is retroactive to Saturday. He has played in all six games this season, getting one assist.

Nabokov hurt in Sharks' loss to Jackets

While trying to stop a breakaway by Columbus' Nikolai Zherdev, Sharks goaltender Evgeni Nabokov was rammed by teammate Christian Ehrhoff, who was trailing the play, and driven into the boards. Nabokov stayed on the ice for several minutes, then got up and played for one minute before skating into the dressing room. He did not return.

Sharks officials said he had upper-body stiffness and would undergo tests.
