It's gonna be one very long weekend for Bertuzzi in Denver this week ...

QUOTE
Avalanche fans used to save their worst for the Detroit Red Wings. Bertuzzi and the Canucks have supplanted the Red Wings, though, as the team and player Avs fans most love to hate.
...
It figures to be a long week for Bertuzzi. In a rare scheduling move, the NHL called for Vancouver to play two straight games in Denver, meaning the Canucks and Bertuzzi will be in town for the better part of four days.

That's a very strange twist of scheduling fate if you ask me...conspiracy theory anyone? wink.gif

Bert has more to worry about than a hostile Denver crowd though, his play just hasn't been up to par this season.

I can't wait to see this game because i wanna laugh at bertuzzi and watch the fans boo him because of what he did to Steve Moore. I think it was very lame of him and he is a sucker for doing that.

hmm.gif I predict the Nucks and Avs will each win a game this time around and Bert doesn't make it on to the scoreboard either night. Both of the teams have been quoted as saying they're over the incident and are moving on...it's really just the fans holding a grudge. It's not like Bert hasn't gotten booed before, he has never endeared himself to anyone's fans except Vancouver's. (I personally was never a big fan of his...I prefer Nazzy myself!)

You would know more about the Avalanche than I, and correct me if I'm wrong, but this seems optimistic considering recent stats. The Canucks have come out strong and are on a huge winning streak, whereas the Avs have have seemed to start out atypically sporadic and are only at .500. Now I haven't seen the Colorado games mind you, so maybe they have been getting stronger as the weeks progress. You'd have to tell me what they've been up to, because I only know from the Canucks. Either way, these will be two great games, I'm sure. biggrin.gif

Oh, hey...here's another article:

QUOTE
"You're going to have fans throwing stuff at him," said Avs fan Jeff Richards. "They're going to be spitting on him when he comes out."

QUOTE
Avs fan Phil Talbott wants Bertuzzi to be booed but hopes no one in the crowd does anything stupid. "They can vocalize all they want but that's as far as it should go," said Talbott. "If they (throw something) they should be out of here."

Canucks, Bertuzzi hit hostile territory

Why do I say that? Because as a Ducks fan, I hate the Avs. blink.gif

As for the Avs winning or not, it's no skin off my nose at this point in the season. . .I just don't like them.

From left, Colordo Avalanche fans Julie McPherson, her husband Jeff, Chris Pino and Jake Stene show off their Holloween costume while watching the Avalanche defeat the Vancouver Canucks, 6-2, in Denver on Thursday, Oct. 27, 2005. The game was the first for Canucks' right winger Todd Bertuzzi in Denver since his on-ice attack of former Avalanche center Steve Moore.

None of this wouldn't of happened if he had never did what he did. Now he's gonna have to face the concequences. I liked him before but not anymore. That was very stupid of him.
