I thought I'd make a thread where everyone can post about whatever game is happening on any given day so that it gives everyone a convenient place to go discuss whatever's going on instead of having to go to several threads. This will save alot of time especially during the regular season when there can be many games a day.
I was hoping everyone would just post game discussions during or right after a game here and let this act as a hub for gameday discussion.

I don't know, it might be a little bit confusing if we combine all different game discussions to one thread.

Not really, the board doesn't really move fast enough for one to get lost within the thread. On the contrary, having to switch back and forth between different games might be more confusing.

It would create some difficulties if a group of people wants to discuss one game, and a different group of people wants to discuss some other games. Why would going from one thread to another be difficult? Lol, I thought that was what you do daily on a message forum.

This is convenient and doesn't result in 6 threads a day that'll all be gone by the next. It keeps the board clean and focuses what's happening on gameday to one thread so the other NHL topics will be easier to locate. This way, whenever someone finds something interesting in a certain game that he wants to point out, he won't hafta make a new thread for it where only two people are going to end up posting in anyways.

It's hard to focus on one certain game though, and a lot of the posts will be talking about something completely different. It'll be hard to constitude a worthwhile discussion. Well, that's how I see it anyway.

And oops, that double post was an accident.

Consider that most of the game threads so far are pretty much just people stating what they think and banter developing with quote boxes. This will be the exact same thing, and I doubt it'll move so fast people can't keep up. As long as everyone keeps the quotes straight, I don't see what the problem is.

Don't see why there should be much confusion, but it's up to you.

You're wasting your time Stan. Some people want to talk about Sharks vs. Avs. Others want to chat about Wings vs. Flames. Still others are more interested in Philly and Toronto.
No problem. We post what we will when we can. When a series is done it's done. No need to wade through 47 posts to find the game you might be interested in. smile.gif

If you say so, I just don't think it'll move so fast that that will become neccessary.

Each posts will be mentioning points of different games, and people could get mixed up. Besides, it's easier to find the discussion of a certain game on one board than a thread with billions of quote boxes.

Then it'd be a good idea at least to make one thread for each series since the threads from the old games rarely get used once the new ones are played.

Whatever. rolleyes.gif
Once a series is over it's over.
Once a game within a series is over it's over.
It's time to move on.
I see no point with mixing oranges and apples.
Bananas with grapes.
Tangerines with grapefruit.

Disagree, personally I'd prefer to be able to discuss a series as a whole and not just a game, but whatever, it's up to you.

Don't worry, I'm sure you'll be able to do that in a game 7 thread, or a thread of a final game of the series.
