We did not get anything worth back in this trade. We have 24 players in current roster. We either send talented youth to AHL or may lose some of our guys through waivers...
This trade is one of the worst in NHL history!

1. Salary dump. That's been discussed ad nausea so I won't.
2. Burke's building a team based on the "farm" because of the new NHL economy.
3. Fedorov isn't a long term solution for the BJs neither is Wright for the Ducks, they're stop gaps.
4. You will be surprised by what Wright brings to the ice immediately.

If u look at it from the ducks point of view wanting to make a salary dump and getting a couple of good players out of the deal as well...it could even be a little bit of an edge to the ducks.

Feds hasn't been able to help the Blue Jackets while Beauchemin has suprised everyone with his play and Wright also plays good.

After a few weeks we have dominated this trade! Feds has done next to nothing and Wright and Marchant are playing better than we ever could have hoped while Beauchemin is playing with Scott as our first line defense, logging over 20 minutes a game.

so it seems, the trade appears to have worked out.
