The Washington Capitals' Alex Ovechkin, one of the brightest young stars to enter the NHL in years, is being sued by his former team in the Russian Super League, Moscow Dynamo.
   
Ovechkin was served with legal papers Saturday in Montreal by a court officer who seemed more excited to be meeting an NHL star than he was in doing his job.

Alexander Ovechkin. Dimanche 20 novembre 2005 - (RDS) - RDS a appris que le joueur Russe Alexander Ovechkin a reçu la visite d'un huissier avant l'entraînement matinal des Capitals hier au Centre Bell.

C'est que le Dynamo de Moscou soutient que les droits du joueur de 20 ans leur appartiennent jusqu'au 30 avril 2006.

Une demande d'injonction a été déposée à la Cour du District of Columbia vendredi afin d'empêcher Ovechkin d'évoluer avec les Capitals ou toutes autres formations.

L'équipe a cinq jours pour répondre à cette demande. Toutefois, il serait surprenant que le Dynamo obtienne gain de cause.

Selon les informations obtenues, la formation de Moscou est surtout à la recherche d'une compensation financière de 900 000 dollars.

Un premier jugement a été rendu en faveur du Dynamo en Russie le 20 octobre dernier.
