If the Wings lose tonight, it will be the end of the Yzerman-Fedorov-Lidstrom-Shanahan era.

Will they lose?

its already been the end of the fedorov era in detroit ... i believe they will find a way ... an INCREDIBLE way ... to win this game in dramatic fashion ... i believe the youngstars will rise to the occasion and pick up the slack ... even some of the veterans who have done jack sh*t will be a force tonight ... all i have to say is ...

LETS GO RED WINGS

I've got nothing against the Wings anymore, and I love some of their players now (like Datsyuk and Zetterberg), but I admit I will be rooting for the Flames. Every year needs a good underdog story, and this year the Flames are it. With Kiprusoff in goal, they have already gone farther than anyone thought they would. So...

GO CALGARY! :fb:

this is it ladies and gentlemen ... overtime begins ... it all comes down to sudden death ... win it = game 7 ... lose it = red wings will be changed forever ... uncertainty hangs in the shadows for the red wings ... will they come out on top ... or will the flames prevail ... whatever the outcome ... LETS GO WINGS

The only thing that made me sad about the Wings being out is that I just watched Stumpy play his last game :cry3: .

You go and sign a guy like Stumpy, knowing your team lacks grit and passion, and then you make the guy beg for ice time? What the fuck did Brett Hull accomplish? Pavel Datsyuk doesn't have a playoff goal in his last 21 games. Lewis deserves to be fired for that alone.

I could not believe it when ESPN said that Stumpy had to beg for ice time. mad.gif

He could have made a big difference for the Red Wings if they had just played him more.

I wonder if we could get him to come back here next season (if there is a next season). God knows Cheesy needs him.

 I'm glad I missed that part, my day has sucked as it is. Don't think I could have dealt with hearing that bit of info. Life sucks and it just is crap for someone as nice as Stumpy to be put in that position. He was still one hell of a good player and after all he has done for the sport, to be treated like that.......I'm glad as hell the Deadthings lost and I hope they don't even make the playoffs next year!!! :fu:

Well I'm glad the Flames won towel.gif

It's shocking the way Stumpy was treated by the Wings. He is a classy guy and shouldn't have to beg for ice time they should have been begging him to help them. Oh how I wish we'd kept him. :|

Today I went to LGW and expressed my feelings on the situation, and of course many Wings fans kept on saying that "getting rid of Fedorov was the best thing for the Wings".

What they don't realize it's Fedorov who got rid of the Wings. It was his decision to leave yes.gif

We may have watched some other Wings play their last game, all this now remains to be seen. That makes me sad.

I couldn't agree more. ESPN are a$$holes. I couldn't believe they said that. Even if they knew it, they shouldn't say it. Oh, and by the way, ESPN tools: the ONLY team in the NHL with the word MIGHTY is the Ducks!!! Not the Wings, not the Crapalanche.

Stumpy, I know you're not going to read this, but maybe consider another year, maybe in Anaheim (I know, wishful thinking on both counts). And Stumpy, thanks for what you did with the Ducks. You deserve better than what you got in Detroit.

Fire Lewis. Now! :td: ... or maybe not :tu:

Well, good thing no one noticed what Panger said about Giguere during the game, then after on ESPN news. I said, wow, I know the people on AllDucks are gonna comment on that.

As Baltic said. The idiot on ESPN said three or four times. "This morning in the dressing room Stumpy had to beg, beg, for a chance to play tonight."
