Playoff Races

In my opinion, five teams have been eliminated from the playoffs, although not mathematically, these teams have little or no hope to make it. They are in the EC: Washington and Pittsburgh (Florida, Boston and NYI on the bubble).
In the WC: Chicago, Columbus and St. Louis. The rest is too tight to call.
Your thoughts?

Tampa Bay, Montreal, and New Jersey are clearly still in it. From my standpoint of view if and only if, that if the Bruins lose tomorrow I think officialy they'll be out of the race.

Edmonton will play at SJ, at Phoenix, host Calgary, at Anaheim, and at LA. This schedule could favor the Ducks if they can get some points and make up the deficit.

I won't do the West because it's already being done in other threads. . .but feel free to discuss playoff scenarios.

I know it is way too early to call, but with San Jose 9 points out now...their playoff chances are really fading.

That has to suck. Salo, Jovo, Baumgartner, and Ohlund are ALL out.
The Kings may fall even more as well with injuries to Norstrom, Frolov, and Demitra.

Yea, Glitter Queens are pretty much screwed with injuries to those three

In the EC: Washington, Pittsburgh, Florida and NYI (Toronto's on the bubble).
In the WC: Chicago, Columbus, St. Louis and Phoenix are toast. The rest is too tight to call.

With Minnesota being 10 points out and having played several more games than everyone else, I think they are gone.
