Edmonton is again playing tonight? Omg when will they ever have a day off? Considering that whenever the Ducks play the Oilers too have a game in hand.

If edm.png losses, and the ducks.gif win, then we are tied for the 8th spot!

QUOTE
Whatever you think of the NHL's product these days, one thing seems to be a constant: The respect players show one another on the ice remains at an all-time low. Now, when a player bends over along the boards, he is considered fair game to get pummeled.

In Cole's case, well, as Carolina GM Jim Rutherford said this week, "A fraction one way and Erik doesn't get hurt at all. A fraction the other way, he could have been..."
...
The league needs to reexamine this kind of hit during the off-season and come up with a solution on how to better protect players along the boards. Cole is not the first player who has been placed in harm's way. You see it every week somewhere.

Sooner or later, a player will be paralyzed.

If the league can't/won't resolve the visor issue, what makes this article's author think they'll do anything more about protecting players from hits along the boards?

This is so sad ... hoping for the best for the Ruff family.
