Late Breaking Updates and Notes for Sunday, March 19
Canadiens defenceman Francis Bouillon, who suffered a bruised left leg after sliding feet-first into the boards Saturday, had X-rays and it was determined his leg wasn't broken. He is "day-to-day" upon his return to the Bell Centre and probably won't play in Washington Monday and at Long Island on Tuesday. - Montreal Gazette
Miikka Kiprusoff should get the start in goal for the Flames against Minnesota tonight.
The Chicago Blackhawks are not ruling out a return to the lineup this season of Tuomo Ruutu. Coach Trent Yawney said he might return from an ankle injury earlier than anticipated. He skated with the team for the third consecutive day Saturday. Defenceman Jassen Cullimore suffered a knee injury on Friday and will not play on Sunday. - Chicago Sun Times
Sergei Fedorov is questionable for Sunday's game for the Blue Jackets. Should Fedorov not play due to his back spasms, the Blue Jackets will probably call up Alexandre Picard. - Columbus Post-Dispatch
Mikael Samulesson will be back in the lineup on Tuesday when the Detroit Red Wings entertain Nashville. Samuelsson missed his seventh straight game on Saturday, but he took part in shooting drills for the first time Friday and Saturday. - Detroit News
Kings forward Pavol Demitra is doubtful for Monday's game. He said that there was "little chance" he would play Monday, as he was still feeling the effects of a concussion suffered against the Phoenix Coyotes on Tuesday. - Los Angeles Times
Wild defenceman Filip Kuba is probable for Sunday's game. Kuba has missed the last five contests with an abdominal strain. - Minneapolis-St. Paul Star Tribune
Thrashers forward Serge Aubin left Saturday night's 4-2 loss to the Flyers in the first period with a right leg injury. He slid awkwardly into the boards jamming his leg and was in quite a bit of pain. He will be re-evaluated Sunday. - Atlanta Journal Constitution

Um because:
1) They are my favorite team
2) They only have 69 pts and the Flames are the division leaders. So which team do you want to root for?
3) Ex-Duck Kurtis Foster plays for them
Anymore questions?
