Late Breaking Updates and Notes for Monday, March 27
Recently acquired goaltender Jose Theodore is expected to join the Avalanche in the next few days to begin working with the team's medical staff and should to be able to play before the end of the regular season. - Denver Post
Calgary forward Marcus Nilson left the game during the first period after a knee-on-knee collision with Stars winger Brenden Morrow. He did not return to the game. - Dallas Morning News
Rookie winger Anthony Stewart, out since Nov. 11 with a dislocated wrist, returned to practice Sunday. Stewart isn't eligible to be sent to AHL Rochester because he wasn't healthy at the deadline. - Sun Sentinel
Phoenix goalie Curtis Joseph, who has watched rookie David LeNeveu play the past two games, is expected to start Tuesday's home game against Nashville. - Arizona Republic
Pittsburgh started Andy Hilbert on the left wing of the top line with Sidney Crosby and Colby Armstrong on Sunday night against the Montreal Canadiens. - Tribune Review
Tampa Bay's Dan Boyle did not receive a miracle cure for an apparent ankle injury suffered in the first period Saturday against the Rangers, but it's not as bad as feared. Boyle's injury, listed by the team as a "lower body" problem, is considered day to day. - Tampa Tribune

It was noted during the game how the Rangers power play went from 16th to 6th since Sandis joined them. Sure he has his breakdowns in his defense but he makes up for it in so many other ways.
Sorry GS35, Rangers have been one of my favorites for several years now.
