What NHL team do you all think should have done alot better than they did this year?

For me its the ST. Louis Blues, even though nobody though much of them, I thought they would at least make the playoffs. But look at them now, last place in the western conference with 52 points? how is that possible? And its not like their roster is horrid. They do have some good caliber players that can take a team to a cup. For example: Keith Tkatchuk, Dallas Drake, Eric Brewer and Barret Jackman. With Lalime in net to start the year was a bad choice, but how does a manager know that a goalie wont perform? Thats just my opinion, but I'm sure that there are other teams that were a disappointment along with the blues.

I thought the Thrashers were going to be great this season! Now they are struggling to make the playoffs.

Pittsburgh hands down. I mean they have Reechi, Crosby etc... and they still can't win a game. And I am not saying Crosby is good. smile.gif

What about Toronto? They are in 11th place in the Eastern Conference, many people expected a 7th or 8th place finish this year. What happened?

I can't say that St. Louis or Pittsburg disappointed me, because I figured they wouldn't do very well this season anyway.

Toronto always looks promising in the off season but for some reason or another never makes it as far as they should. I'm disappointed with them because I've always been a Belfour fan and hoped they would finally have a good year becasue it might be the last one for the Eagle. He keeps saying he isn't retiring, but reality has to catch up with him soon.

My biggest disappointment in the west has been the Vancouver Canucks. I had thought maybe the goaltending was going to be a problem, but I never imagined that the offense would dry up so much. Nazzy is one of my favourite players so I'm very disappointed with his performace and that of the erstwhile top line. Morrison and Bertuzzi who? I'm just underwhelmed. A chance at the cup has passed Vancouver by and next year looks like rebuilding...again.

Recchi is with the Carolina Hurricanes wink.gif I actually thought the Boston Bruins will pick up the slack after the Olympic Break. When they traded Joey to San Jose and picked up Brad Stuart, Marco Sturm, and Wanye Primeau I thought the chemistry would click and they would do great, unfortunately they aren't. And firing GM Mike O'Connel even made worser, though the Bruins are sitting at 11th place I think hmm.gif

East- Boston

West- Minnesota Wild

I think he means that Recchi was on pittsburgh. because their season was pretty much over at the deadline anyway.
