There has been a lot of talk on Jagr and Lundqvist in the East. Ovechkin name was there for a really long time too. Now more and more Kipper talk is heating up. Lidström has been amazing (once again) in Detroit. But what about Scott? Last time he won it with less points and in New Jersey more offencive system... And Teemu. He has been there all season long. Very strong start, carried almost alone (OK with Scott & Andy) through the hard times and now is ... most dominant player in the league. Besides fantastic Olympics... And with his salary...
Who is the guy who should get it?

Um Ovechkin? If nobody picks him for the Hart then I dont know what's better than his sick-ass goal! I will always remember Jan 16, 2006.
Go Vechkin!
Oh and Dion Phaneuf should be included in the list too.

The Hart Memorial Trophy is an annual award given to the player judged to be the most valuable to his team. The winner is selected in a poll of the Professional Hockey Writers' Association in all NHL cities at the end of the regular season.
I think Lidstrom is a consistent contributor to his team. Kipper has been a big reason for Calgary's success this year. Jagr and Lundqvist have helped revitalize the Rangers. Teemu and Scott have been fantastic for the Ducks. Tough call this year.

For me it's Ovechkin!!
Without him the Capitals would have 15 or 20 points!!

For me it's definitely Teemu. Such courage to come back to a team that gave him up and put up the kind of numbers he has this year. He has brought fans back to the seats like no one else could. I am so glad that my reservations about his signing have been blown away by his performance.

Teemu should! He carried our offense for the longest time, and was the only reason we won in many games.

Ovechkin. Without him, the Caps are the St. Louis Blues of the East.
