The Frank J. Selke Trophy is an annual award given to the forward who best excels in the defensive aspects of the game. The winner is selected in a poll of the Professional Hockey Writers' Association at the end of the regular season.

Had to go with the obvious choice here. Sami has been shutting down the top lines of the opposing teams all year, great in the face off circle, doing his job and putting the puck in the net. Time he gets some recognition! Go Meatball!

I don't think anyone deserves it more than Sami, he works his tail off.

I voted for Pahlsson. For how long has he just been in the shadows. He's always played PK and never got much recognition as a pretty damn good shut down forward. Never gonna be a scorer or a set up man. But h knows & plays his role.

Sami has always done a fine job for the Ducks, but this year he is Superb! Most of the other guys on the list have been there and done that, but Sami is coming into his own and should be a force for quite a few more seasons for the Ducks.

Selanne said Pahlsson has been a different player since the Olympics and deserves to be mentioned as a candidate for the Selke Trophy given to the league's top defensive forward.
