If Kinky ones lose in regulation. They are ...
In OT/SO loss Kinky ones are as dead, but a shade of hope remains. But this is kind of hope absolute majority of lotto players have winning the big thing...
Fishy win is no good. I would love them out of possible chase of
So any result will not make me happy in this one!!!

SJ played yesterday and took advantage of Budaj's inexperience (I only watched the 3rd period and SJ was all over Colorado who, at one point, took 5 straight penalties). I'm goin to assume that LA will have enough desperation -- and legs -- to win this thing. If they lose they're burnt toast. That would keep them all together fighting and away from the Ducks. But, as Ahti said, neither result is good.

Late Breaking Updates and Notes for Thursday, April 6
Thrashers captain Scott Mellanby appears to be leaning more strongly toward retiring. He said this "probably will be" his last season, although he "won't shut the door 100 percent" until the season is over. He said there is "a pretty good chance" he will retire. - Atlanta Journal Constitution
Boston Defenseman David Tanabe suffered a knee injury Tuesday and missed practice yesterday because he was undergoing an MRI. The team is awaiting the results and wasn't sure if it was the same knee Tanabe had surgery on two years ago. - Boston Globe
When P.J. Axelsson suffered an injury to his left knee March 1, it was believed he was going to be out 7-10 days. It's now day 36 and counting. Axelsson went through the entire workout yesterday but his sprained knee still isn't ready for the rigors of full contact. "It's not 100 percent yet," said Axelsson. "I can skate, but when I start and stop it, doesn't feel right." It's likely Axelsson could play early next week, either against Washington Monday or in Ottawa Tuesday. - Boston Globe / Boston Herald
Tuomo Ruutu said he could return to the Hawks lineup as early as this weekend. Ruutu, who has been practicing for about a month, has been played by injuries the last two seasons. - Chicago Tribune
With 5 losses in the last six games, the Predators are in danger of slipping out of fourth place in the Western Conference and giving up home ice in the first round of the playoffs. - Daily Herald Times
Avalanche fans are likely rooting for the Barrie Colts in their OHL playoff against Brampton. If the Battalion are eliminated, that would free up prospect Wojtek Wolski to play for Colorado immediately. The left wing has had a great season in Brampton, with 128 points (47 goals) in 56 games - tops in the league. In six playoff games, Wolski has 12 points. - Denver Post
Goalie Peter Budaj has started 12 consecutive games, the first Avalanche goalie to start 12 in a row since Patrick Roy in 2000. - Rocky Mountain News
Winger Bill Guerin, who has missed 10 games with a fractured orbital bone, was cleared for contact by his eye doctor Wednesday. Tippett said Guerin will participate in the morning skate today, practice Friday and probably play Saturday night against the Phoenix Coyotes. - Dallas Morning News
Dan Cleary (ribs) said after Wednesday's practice he'll play this weekend in the back-to-back games against Columbus beginning Friday. Cleary skated Wednesday and said there was no discomfort. - Detroit News
Predators goalie Tomas Vokoun participated in yesterday's morning skate, but said afterward he still felt some pain in his lower back. Vokoun, who's faced the second-most shots in the league this season, said that barring a "miraculous recovery," he'll sit out a third straight game tonight in St. Louis. - Tennessean
D Darius Kasparaitis is still troubled by a strained groin and will miss his seventh game in the last eight. - Newsday

And then maybe they'll also re-sign Jason Allison. Weren't there rumors that Eric Lindros was interested in playing for the Kings too?
