Dallas is in 2nd place
Calgary is in 3rd place
Nashville is in 4th place
The other spots are up for grabs, so here's the math:
San Jose - 97 points. Has 2 more games vs. us and LA. Likelihood is good that they will beat LA, which makes Saturday and Monday must wins for us if we are to finish higher. If they beat LA and we win Saturday, they finish with 99 points. We have to have our final two to be wins in order to finish 5th. If we only get three points, we'll tie in points and they will have more wins on the season.
Us - 96 points. We have 2 more games vs. SJ and Calgary. Must win on Saturday. Must win on Monday.
Colorado - 94 points. Has 2 more games vs. Vancouver and Edmonton. Max possible is 98 points. If they win both games and we win only one, we'll be tied in points but they will have more wins for the season and finish ahead of us. If we have one win and they have one win, we'll finish ahead of them. If they have one win and we have no wins, we'll finish below them.
Edmonton - 93 points. Has 2 more game left vs. Colorado. If Colorado wins vs. Vancouver, it doesn't matter what happens in their final game together - Edmonton will be in 8th regardless and gets Detroit. Edmonton can end up helping us place higher by beating Colorado. If Colorado loses both games, Edmonton finishes 7th and gets Dallas.
OK, now that I've done the math, I need a rest. After Saturday's games, the math gets much simpler.
In my opinion, I have a feeling that we are going to pull 6th, which gives us Calgary.

the preds look very hot right now. perreault and walker are back and the preds play as a team again!
the ducks can play against each team in the nhl, the ducks can win against all of them!

Us - 96 points. If we beat Calgary on Monday, we have 98 points. If we lose, we have 96 points.
Colorado - 94 points. If they beat either Vancouver or Edmonton and lose the other game, they have 96 points, like us, and would beat us in the tiebreaker. This requires us to win on Monday in order to finish ahead of Colorado. If they beat Vancouver and beat Edmonton, they finish 6th and we get 7th place and Dallas. If they lose both games, we finish in 6th regardless of what we do on Monday.
Edmonton - They finish in 7th or 8th place depending upon how Colorado does. If Colorado wins one game, 8th is sealed up for Edmonton. Colorado has to lose both games for Edmonton to get 7th.
The question is am I hoping for Dallas Stars trolls on this board or am I hoping for the Calgary trolls? Calgary gives us Oh Canada before each game. Is it harder flying back and forth from Calgary or Dallas? We've had Dallas before and gotten past them. Calgary is new. Whoever it is, I sure hope we have our road act together.
