I play for the Madison Capitols AAA association. Bob Suter (member of the 1980 olympic team) owns the rink and runs the program. We just got back for Detroit last weekend after finishin 4th out of 10. But all ten teams (including us) are in the top thirty teams in the USA for our age. so it was pretty tough. While there i saw patrick roy, steve yzerman, and last year i got chris chelios autograph. The st. louis jr. blues (a team we play against ) are coached by al macginnis so i see alot of the best players in the world.
anybody else play??? post your news here

I play on the 'Rangers' in a local Rec League.
I'm the goalie, and I just played the best I have ever played. I played awesome, and thats something coming from someone with zero confidence. I was really battling down low, and was not only making the 1st save alot, but the 2nd, 3rd and even 4th save. We lost 7-5, and thats the closest we ever have been.
What was lame, was that you only have 4 skaters out on the ice at a time (its roller, but we call it ice) And only 4 of our 7 skaters showed up, so the majority of the game, we were playing 4-3, where we had only three because we had no sub. So, we did really well

Other than that, I guess I am best placed as either a top-line D-Man on the right side or a left-winger for the checking line that still has some technical talent on board as well as he can speed up the turbo from time to time.
Anyways I am going to find a new team next season, as my team actually sucks big time and I don't want to always be on the receiving end of the loss.

We went 21-5-1 last year to win our division. I'm playing summer hockey up here and planning on going to a WWHL camp later.
I play LW or centre, though, I can play defense. But I play defense like Ozolinsh.
NO DEFENSIVE RESPONSIBILITY WHAT SO EVER!

If you get me some place to live there and take the costs - I'd be jumpstarting into the next free plane to LA

I'm interested in playing hockey (most likely roller b/c I can't afford everything that comes with ice), how does it usually work to get started? I've played in Rec. leagues for softball and you have to join the league as a team. I don't know enough guys to start a roller hockey team but I'd like to get started on my own. Do leagues have all individuals and they put you on a team or do you have to join an already existing team as a "free agent"?
